Forehand Backswing

Here are five great tips for beginner pickleball players:

Focus on consistency over power: In pickleball, it's more important to be consistent with your shots than it is to hit the ball as hard as you can. Focus on hitting the ball in the court and avoiding unforced errors, rather than trying to hit winners every time.

Practice your serves: The serve is the most important shot in pickleball and can set the tone for the entire point. Practice your serves until you can consistently hit them in the correct spot and with the right amount of power.

Work on your footwork: Good footwork is essential in pickleball, as it allows you to move quickly around the court and get into position to hit the ball. Practice moving laterally and forward/backward, and work on getting into a good ready position before each shot.

Play with more experienced players: Playing with more experienced players can help you improve faster and learn new skills and strategies. Look for local pickleball clubs or groups where you can find players at your level or higher. Don't be afraid to ask for tips or advice from more experienced players!

Learn the basic rules: Before you start playing pickleball, make sure you understand the basic rules of the game. This includes knowing how to serve, how scoring works, and what the rules are for faults and let serves.

See you on the Courts…
